Amador Castro

Amador is the Research and Policy Analyst at the Institute for Housing Studies at DePaul University. His responsibilities include the analysis of housing- and community development-related policy and research at the local, state, and national levels as well as supporting outreach and engagement efforts with housing and community development stakeholders. He also participates in the testing and analysis of data to support the production of reports, maps, and tables and to complete technical assistance requests from external stakeholders.

Prior to joining IHS, Amador was a GIS Analyst at MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund) working on regional and national redistricting research and processing. Amador received his undergraduate degree from Columbia College Chicago and a Master's degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Northeastern Illinois University.
